Delighted to have achieved planning permission from Gedling Borough Council for this split-level house on a steeply sloping suburban infill site in Woodthorpe. The design works with the site topography to create 3 storeys at rear with an upper floor lounge making the most of distant views and 2 storeys facing the street to respond to the scale of the streetscene. Key to this is a central 2.5 storey stairwell which provides the opportunity for interesting views and connections between spaces on different levels. The design exemplifies how you can create a new home which is full of character within a relatively modest footprint and in an established suburban setting.

The design takes inspiration from the variety of architectural styles within the surrounding context. We have reinterpreted these vernaculars to give the new home a sense of the familiar within the established suburban setting whilst also creating a unique family home which is full of character!
